Great Sand Dunes National Park was established on March 17, 1932 and covers 149,137 acres in Colorado. The National Park is brimming with alpine lakes, aspen forests, wetlands, grasslands and various other landscapes.

The tallest dunes in America can be found in the Park and Reserve, and visitors enjoy a myriad of activities, including sand sledding, hiking, swimming in Medano Creek, and much more.
